NPP National Executives Visit Blue Light,Donate GHS100,000 to Fire Victims

The National Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have donated GHS100,000 to support victims of the devastating fire outbreak at Adum in Kumasi.

The entourage led by Justin Frimpong Koduah, the National Secretary of the party, the delegation included other prominent executives like Henry Nana Boakye, National Organizer, and Bernard Antwi Bosiako, Ashanti Regional Chairman, popularly known as ‘Chairman Wontumi’.

The fire, which occurred on March 21, 2025, ravaged over 1000 shops, destroying items worth millions of Ghana Cedis. During their visit, the NPP executives inspected the affected area to determine the best way to assist in its redevelopment.

Mr. Justin Koduah expressed sympathy for the traders and assured them of the party’s commitment to providing support.

He encouraged the traders to stay strong and trust in the Lord, believing that everything will return to normal.

The donation aims to ease the immediate financial burden on the traders and provide them with comfort.

Nana Kofi Boateng, Chairman of the Ashanti Secondhand Shoe Sellers Association, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the party for their kind gesture.

This donation comes after Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former Vice President, donated GHS 200,000 to the victims earlier.

The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has also begun assessing the damage to coordinate additional relief efforts.
