Amansie Rural Bank PLC has handed over an ultra-modern police tent city to the Amansie South Police Command in the Ashanti Region.
The tent city, which includes a washroom, and a toilet facility aims to provide shelter and amenities for police personnel at the Manso Enanyinanse Agroyesum stretch checkpoint.
For years, the personnel had been using a wooden structure, lacking basic facilities like a place to change and ease themselves.
The bank’s initiative addresses these challenges, demonstrating its commitment to supporting the community and law enforcement.
Mr. Frederick Kwakye Kyei, CEO of Amansie Rural Bank PLC, explained the purpose behind the initiative in an interview with ghanawatchonline.com reporter on March 4 2025,stating that the authorities of the police command informed them about their condition of service in the area and this sparked the kind gesture.
“I believe this initiative will help the police in the fight against criminalities in the area and provide comfort for citizens in the District in terms of security,”he stated.
ASP Nana Antwi Boadu, District Commander of the Amansie South Police Command, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the bank’s management for their kind gesture.
This effort is part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility initiatives, showcasing its dedication to the well-being of the community and its stakeholders.
