The Chief Executive Officer CEO of Perfect Star Media Production and Perfect Grade Publications, Pastor Philip Sarpong, has emphasized the importance of parents adopting a supportive role in their children’s career development.
The CEO indicated that instead of dictating specific career paths, parents should focus on guiding and nurturing their children’s interests and talents.

Speaking in a pre-media briefing ahead of the semi-final stage of the Basic School Assessment Contest (B.S.A.C. 1st edition of the Greater Accra), Pastor Philip Sarpong noted that by giving children the autonomy to make their own career choices, parents can empower them to take ownership of their professional development.
“Allowing children to pursue their interests can lead to a more fulfilling and satisfying career,” he added
The semi-final of the Greater Accra’s first edition of the contest has seen ten school battle for the final, of which is scheduled for May 29,2025 at the Accra Academy Hall.
The schools include: Mamprobi Salvation Army Basic A, St. Theresa’s School, Cefelix Academy, Paradise Mission Academy, Abossey Okai R/C Basic, Mamprobi Salvation Army Basic B, Abossey Okai Methodist, Mataheko R/C Primary, President Barrack Obama Basic School, and Lartebiokoshie 1B and 5 Basic.
The CEO of Perfect Star Media Production and Perfect Grade Publications emphasized that parents should focus on providing a supportive environment, enabling their children to thrive and reach their full potential.
Moreover,he stated that by adopting a guardian-like approach, parents can help their children navigate the complexities of career development and make informed decisions about their future.
The second edition of the Ashanti Regional contest is also scheduled on June 12,2025, with top basic schools awaiting to participate in the contest.
The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT Hall), which hosted the first edition is the venue of attraction for the second edition of the contest in Kumasi
