The Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua Constituency, Hon. Seth Osei Akoto, has launched an annual awards scheme to recognize and motivate dedicated teachers in the constituency.
This initiative aims to promote quality education and encourage teachers to excel in their profession.
The awards scheme will recognize outstanding teachers based on performance, commitment to duty, community involvement, and overall impact on academic performance within schools. A committee was formed to oversee the nomination and selection process, ensuring transparency and fairness.
Hon. Akoto emphasized that education remains a key pillar in the development of Atwima Mponua. He believes that recognizing teachers’ efforts will inspire excellence and retention, ultimately improving learning outcomes in the constituency.
Teachers numbering thirteen(13) from various levels of education, thus, from basic to senior high school benefited from the awards which was held at the forecourt of the District Education Office today, October 10, 2025.
Teachers in the constituency have welcomed the initiative, expressing gratitude for the MP’s recognition of their hard work.
They noted that this gesture will serve as motivation, especially for those in remote areas who often feel forgotten.
