A renowned philanthropist Nana Adu Gyamfi Kumanini Barima Kese, CEO of the Shamor Group of Companies and Nkosuahene of Nyankyerenease Traditional Council in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti Region has promised to cover every educational expense for twin brothers from Kyebi in the Offinso South Municipality.
During his recent “10,000 Exercise Books” drive, which supplied stationery to schools in Abofuo and surrounding villages, Nana Adu Gyamfi learned that the twins, who attend the local primary school, are deaf and non‑speaking.
In a heartfelt ceremony organized by the Kyebi community to honor him, he pledged to send the boys to a school for the deaf and to finance their education from primary through university, including tuition, accommodation, meals and any health‑related costs.
The twins’ family has struggled to afford the specialized care and schooling they need, which is why they were enrolled in the community’s basic school. Their community has rallied around them, but financial barriers remain.
Nana Adu Gyamfi’s philanthropic portfolio already includes scholarships, health projects and infrastructure across the Ashanti Region, reinforcing his commitment to inclusive development.
“Seeing the determination of the twin brothers reminds me of why we invest in every child’s future, no matter the challenges they face,” Nana Adu Gyamfi said.
“This gesture will not only transform their lives but also set a precedent for inclusive education in our region and Ghana as a whole,” added the twins’ mother.
With this pledge, Nana Adu Gyamfi adds another milestone to his legacy of community upliftment, proving that a single act of generosity can rewrite a family’s destiny.
