
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has engaged the leadership of teacher unions over concerns raised by teachers regarding the substantive dates applicable to the 2025 teacher promotion.
The engagement, held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, was aimed at addressing concerns surrounding the dates associated with the 2025 promotion process.
In a statement issued by the GES Public Relations Unit, Management said it had taken note of the concerns raised by the teacher unions and assured them of further engagements to look into the matter.
The Service said it remained committed to reaching an amicable settlement of the issue while counting on the continued support and cooperation of teachers.
The statement, signed by the Head of Public Relations at the GES, Daniel Fenyi, follows concerns from teachers and their unions over the substantive dates applicable to the 2025 promotion.
The GES said further engagements with the unions would be held as it works towards addressing the concerns.
