A philanthropist, Mr. Yiadom Boakye Emmanuel has issued a heartfelt appeal to Ghanaians, urging them to come together and offer support to the victims of the Adum fire.
The philanthropist call to action emphasizes that every little bit counts, and collective efforts can make a significant difference in the lives of those affected.
Speaking to the media during a visit on April 11,2025, Mr. Yiadom stated that “nothing is too little to support the Adum fire victims.”
Mr. Yiadom Boakye Emmanuel’s message encourages Ghanaians to donate goods, services, or funds to aid the fire victims.
His appeal highlights that no donation is too small, and every contribution can help alleviate the suffering of the victims.
The initiative encourages individuals, organizations, and businesses to join forces to provide meaningful support to those in need.
Addressing the traders, the philanthropist and his team expressed sympathy for the traders and motivated them to stay strong and trust in the Lord.
He donated GHS10,000 and 50 bags of cement to support the re-building of the market.
The Adum Blue light fire outbreak which occurred on March 21,2025,
ravaged over 1000 shops, destroying items worth millions of Ghana Cedis.
“By coming together and showing compassion, Ghanaians can help the Adum fire victims rebuild their lives and recover from this traumatic event,” he said.
“The initiative serves as a reminder of the power of community and the importance of supporting one another in times of need,” he added.
The visit comes amid growing concerns over fire outbreaks in market centers, which have left many traders struggling to recover their losses.
The affected traders welcomed Mr. Yiadom Boakye Emmanuel and his team’s support with Mr. Joseph Bobbie Ansah, often known as Wofa Antwi, chairman of the traders,expressing hope that the intervention would help them rebuild their businesses.
