Nhyiaeso MP Urges Graduates to Drive Nation-Building With Their Skills

The Member of parliament for Nhyiaeso constituency in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Stephen Amoah, has called on Ghanaian tertiary graduates to utilize their skills to contribute to nation-building.

Speaking at the Leadership Conclave Seminar at the Christian Service University on April 23, 2025, he emphasized that Ghana’s development depends on harnessing the technical expertise of its graduates.

Hon. Amoah stressed that ignoring the skills of tertiary graduates would hinder Ghana’s development.

He urged graduates to apply their skills to drive development and make a positive impact in society.

“Many graduates fail to utilize their skills, becoming dependent on their families instead of contributing to the economy,” he stated.

Hon. Amoah called on authorities to implement measures that would enable graduates to apply their skills effectively and benefit society.

“By exploiting the skills and expertise of its graduates, Ghana can accelerate its development and create a more prosperous future,” he added.

Hon. Amoah’s call to action serves as a reminder of the crucial role graduates play in shaping the nation’s future.

Hon. Richard Kwasi Ofori Boadi, Mayor of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, expressed happiness about the initiative, highlighting its potential impact on society.

He encouraged students to take advantage of such seminars to contribute to nation-building.

Richard Owusu, SRC President, noted that the program aims to mentor students for leadership roles, promoting nation-building and encouraging students to take up leadership challenges.
