B.S.A.C.: Perfect Star Media Production CEO Calls for Government Support for Sustainability

The Chief Executive Officer, (CEO) of Perfect Star Media Production and author of Perfect Series Books, Pastor Philip Sarpong, has emphasized the need for government support to ensure the sustainability of their initiatives, Basic School Assessment Contest.

The company which has been instrumental in providing quality study materials for students introduced the B.S.A.C. to test learners in various basic schools.

The contest which was initiated by Pastor Sarpong, last year, aims to test the critical thinking ability of learners who participate in, and also enhances the teaching skills of facilitators.

Despite the impact of the contest, the CEO has expressed concerns about the long-term sustainability of their initiatives without government support.

Speaking to the media at the semi-final stage of the perfect Series Basic Schools Assessment Contest (2nd edition of the Northern sector) held at the GNAT HALL, Amakom, Kumasi, Pastor Sarpong revealed that the organization of the contest comes with a huge cost, and therefore calling on government support to ensure its sustainability.

Pastor Philip Sarpong further entreated government to adopt the program and make it a national contest to enhance the critical thinking ability of learners and to impact more lives.

The CEO’s initiative has positively impacted education by providing students with quality study materials thought, but believes government’s support would further enhance this impact.

He indicated that government support would enable the company to make their study materials more accessible to a wider range of students.

“With government backing, our company could further enhance the quality of our study materials, leading to better educational outcomes in Ghana,” he stated.

“Government support would ensure the long-term sustainability of the initiative, allowing it to continue making a positive impact on education,” Pastor Philip Sarpong added.

The Semi-final of the contest had ten schools from the Ashanti Region who had proceeded through the quarter-final stage, the schools included Bosomtwe STEM Academy, Reverence Preparatory School, Konadu Educational Complex, Unique Educational Complex, among others.

The CEO’s call for government support highlights the need for collaboration between the private sector and government in promoting education.

By working together, Pastor Sarpong believes they can ensure the sustainability of the contest and also ensure that students have access to quality educational resources, ultimately leading to improved educational outcomes.
