
In a significant boost to the community, Madamfo Ghana Foundation, a non governmental organization has commissioned a mechanized borehole project at Kpaling in the Savelugu municipality of the Northern Region.

The project, which is part of the foundation’s broader efforts to promote sustainable development in Ghana, is expected to provide clean drinking water to the people of Kpaling, improving their health and overall well-being.
Madamfo Ghana Foundation is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that focuses on helping people to help themselves through sustainable development projects in various regions of Ghana.

The foundation’s vision is a world without poverty, and it collaborates closely with local communities and the Ghanaian government to ensure projects are culturally appropriate, effective, and self-sufficient in the long term.
The foundation’s projects include education, WaSH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), human health, anti-trafficking, school feeding programs, drilling boreholes, KVIPs, and climate protection & reforestation.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Deputy Country Director of the Madamfo Ghana Foundation Mr. Enoch Sunday Attipoe the officials from Madamfo Ghana Foundation emphasized the importance of community involvement in ensuring the sustainability of the project.

They also highlighted the foundation’s commitment to working with local stakeholders to implement projects that meet the needs of the community.
The people of Kpaling welcome the project, recognizing its positive impact on their lives.
Mr. Karim Nuhu, representative of the Zugu Naa palace, expressed gratitude for the project and appealed for more projects to develop the community.
Savasta Gbanglo, headteacher of Kpalan D/A Basic Primary School, said the project will ensure pupils are punctual in school, as they previously spent hours searching for water.

The Assemblyman for Kpalan Electoral Area Mr Yakubu Iddrisu used the opportunity to appeal for more teachers and furniture to tackle challenges facing the school.
The project is expected to benefit students and teachers at the nearby schools, including Savelugu M/A block B, Kpalung R/C Basic, Zugu D/A JHS, Zugu Dabogni technical institute, and Rashadia E/A basic.
Madamfo Ghana Foundation’s work in Kpaling is a testament to its commitment to promoting sustainable development in Ghana.
