Asokore Mampong MCE Pledges Support to Elevate KUMACA to Grade A School

The Municipal Chief Executive for Asokore Mampong, Ben Abdelah Alhasan, has pledged the Assembly’s unwavering support towards transforming Kumasi Academy (KUMACA) into a Grade A school.

According to him, the Assembly is committed to working closely with the management of the school, old students, traditional authorities, parents and other stakeholders to identify and address challenges that could hinder the institution’s growth.

Mr. Alhasan made the commitment during the 70th anniversary celebration of Kumasi Academy, where he reaffirmed the Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly’s determination to promote quality education and create opportunities for young people within the municipality.

He said the achievement of Grade A status for KUMACA would not only enhance the reputation of the school but also provide students with a conducive environment to develop their academic abilities, talents and other skills needed to contribute meaningfully to society.

The MCE stressed that education remains a critical pillar of development and, therefore, requires the collective efforts of government, local authorities, school authorities, parents, old students and the wider community.

He assured the school community that the Assembly would continue to explore avenues to support educational institutions within the municipality, particularly in areas such as infrastructure, learning facilities and the general welfare of students.

Mr. Alhasan further reaffirmed the municipality’s broader commitment to ensuring sustainable growth and development across the Asokore Mampong Municipality.

He said the Assembly would continue to implement initiatives aimed at improving the living conditions and well-being of residents while creating an environment that supports education, economic growth and social development.

He noted that the progress of schools within the municipality was closely linked to the overall development of the area, stressing that producing well-educated and responsible young people would contribute significantly to the future development of Asokore Mampong and Ghana as a whole.

The MCE also called on stakeholders of Kumasi Academy to remain united and continue supporting the school as it seeks to build on its achievements over the past seven decades.

The 70th anniversary celebration of Kumasi Academy brought together school authorities, students, teachers, old students, parents, dignitaries and other stakeholders to celebrate the institution’s seven decades of contribution to education and national development.

Mr. Alhasan expressed optimism that with sustained collaboration and commitment from all stakeholders, KUMACA could attain the desired standard and regain an even stronger position among leading schools in the country.
