The National Association of Garages (NAG) Ashanti Regional Chapter, has urged the government of Ghana to collaborate with industry stakeholders to provide practical training for graduates.

The association entreated government to consider partnering with them to enhance the practical aspects of what they learn in various campuses.

This initiative aims to equip graduates with industry-relevant skills, enhancing their employability and readiness for the job market.

Speaking on ‘Garages Hour Program’ on Kumasi based OTEC FM, Master Kwame Amoh, popularly Known as ‘Chairman Zert’, the Ashanti Regional Organizer, emphasized the need for practical training to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and industry requirements.

He advocates for partnership between the government, industry stakeholders, and educational institutions to provide hands-on experience for graduates, adding that this will improve competitiveness in the job market.

“We believe that collaboration is key to developing a skilled workforce. By working together, we can provide graduates with the practical skills needed to succeed in their chosen careers,” he added.

He further stressed that the National Association of Garages aims to promote industry-led training and development, ensuring that graduates are equipped with the skills required by employers.

“By collaborating with the government and industry stakeholders, NAG hopes to create opportunities for graduates in order to help them contribute their quota to the country’s economic development.
