Ashanti Rugby Boss Nana Adu Gyamfi Fuels Kotoko–Hearts Showdown with 1,000-Ticket Donation

The President of the Ashanti Regional Rugby Association, Nana Adu Gyamfi, has donated 1,000 match tickets to support fan attendance at the highly anticipated clash between Asante Kotoko SC and Accra
Hearts of Oak SC.

Nana Adu Gyamfi, who is also the Nkosuohene of the Nyankyerenease Traditional Council in the Kwadaso Municipality and Chief Executive Officer of Shamor Group of Companies, said the gesture is aimed at boosting stadium attendance and rekindling the passion that characterizes Ghana’s biggest football rivalry.

The Kotoko–Hearts encounter remains one of the most celebrated fixtures in Ghanaian football, drawing nationwide attention and uniting fans across divides. By providing the tickets, Nana Adu Gyamfi seeks to ease the financial burden on supporters while encouraging massive turnout to create an electrifying atmosphere on match day.

According to him, sports development thrives on strong community support, and corporate and traditional leadership must play a proactive role in sustaining enthusiasm around major sporting events.
