A non-governmental organization called Vision Barnabas, has reaffirmed its strong commitment to supporting good but needy students and strengthening rural churches, with particular emphasis on helping pastors acquire education and providing decent places of worship for underserved communities.

Speaking on behalf of the organization, Dr. Ernest Obeng, Director of Finance of Vision Barnabas and a lecturer at the Christian Service University said the organization remains dedicated to transforming lives through education and faith-based development, especially in rural and disadvantaged areas.

According to Dr. Obeng, many brilliant students are unable to continue their education due to financial challenges. Vision Barnabas, he noted, is committed to identifying such students and providing the necessary support to help them achieve their academic goals and become responsible leaders in their communities.
“Our mission is to give hope to those who have the potential to succeed but lack the means,” Dr. Obeng stated.
“By supporting good but needy students, we are investing in the future of our communities and the nation as a whole,” he added.

In addition to educational support, Vision Barnabas is also focusing on rural churches, many of which lack basic infrastructure and trained leadership. Dr. Obeng emphasized the organization’s efforts to assist pastors in acquiring formal education and theological training to enhance their effectiveness in ministry.
He further explained that Vision Barnabas is working to help rural congregations secure safe and dignified places of worship, noting that many churches currently meet in temporary structures or open spaces.

“We believe pastors deserve proper training, and congregations deserve a place where they can worship with dignity,” Dr. Obeng said. “Supporting rural churches strengthens moral values, unity, and development at the grassroots level.”
Dr. Obeng called on individuals, churches, and development partners to support Vision Barnabas in its mission, stressing that collective effort is key to making lasting impact.
Vision Barnabas is a faith-based organization committed to education, community development, and the empowerment of churches and leaders in underserved areas.
