Chiefs of Abuakwa Dadease in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality of the Ashanti Region have invoked curses on an unidentified private developer over the alleged encroachment on land reserved for the construction of a fire station in the community.
According Nana Anokye Poku, Dadease Odikuro, the land is earmarked for a fire station to serve the area, but an unknown developer has allegedly taken over the site and covered portions of it with roofing sheets.
The development has reportedly blocked access to a nearby market, leaving traders unable to enter the market to carry out their daily business activities.

The traders have consequently expressed frustration over the situation, as the obstruction continues to affect their livelihoods.
The chiefs, unhappy with the alleged encroachment and obstruction, have invoked curses on the unidentified developer, demanding that the situation be addressed.
Residents and traders are calling for the intervention of the appropriate authorities to investigate the matter, reclaim the land if necessary, and restore access to the market.
They also want the land originally reserved for the fire station to be protected from further encroachment.
