The chief of Kamampa, Kamampawura Kwame Wande II, has made a heartfelt appeal to the government to prioritize the development of key infrastructure in the area, citing the need to elevate the living conditions of the people.

The Damba Festival, celebrated annually by the Gonjas, Dagombas, Walas, Mamprusis, and Nanumbas, is a significant occasion to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad and express gratitude for God’s protection and blessings.
However, in recent times, the festival has taken on a new dimension, with communities using the platform to highlight their developmental needs and demand action from the government.

Prophet Mark Kofi Owusu . Founder and overseer of Reform Christian Apostle Church At Techiman Abourso speaking at this year’s Damba Festival, emphasized the importance of addressing the community’s pressing needs, including the construction of classroom blocks, upgrading of the Kamampa CHPS compound, and improvement of telecommunication networks.
However, the chief urged the parents and guardians to caution their wards and children to abstain from substance abuses as their consequences on their future is dire.
Nana Ogyeahoho Adu Nkrumah Yeboah ,Kwakyekrom Hene . He represents the paramount chief of Ntotroso Traditional Area, emphasized the importance of Ghana’s cultural heritage, particularly festivals, as avenues to seek developmental projects from the government and development partners.
The DCE for the Pru West district, assured the people of the government’s commitment to completing a nurses’ bungalow started in 2016 and increasing the number of schools enrolled on the School Feeding Program in the district.
As the people of Kamampa celebrate the Damba Festival, they look forward to a brighter future, with improved infrastructure and a better quality of life.
