
The Paramount Chief of the Mo Traditional Area and President of the Council of Mo Chiefs, Nana Kwaku Dankwaa III, has made a fervent appeal to the President of Ghana, through the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), to prioritize the construction of the Kintampo town roads which are in a deplorable state.
Speaking during the festival, Nana Kwaku Dankwaa III expressed deep concern over the poor state of the roads, noting that the situation has severely impacted transportation and local development in the area.
Nana Kwaku Dankwaa III emphasized that the Kintampo North Constituency has been a loyal stronghold of the NDC since 1992, and therefore deserves attention in infrastructure development.
He called on the government to reward the constituency’s continued support by ensuring that the Kintampo town roads are fixed as a matter of urgency.

Hon. Owusu Antwi, in his address, highlighted the recent development at Gulumpe, acknowledging the intervention of the President, REGSEC, MUSEC, and Nananom for addressing the issues timely.
He also informed the gathering about the current initiative (Gun Amnesty) of the Interior Minister, which will be launched in six weeks, aimed at ensuring all guns are licensed.

Hon. Owusu Antwi further highlighted President Mahama’s government’s achievements, including the continuation of the Kintampo-Prang road, construction of a university and two colleges of education in Bono East, and the extension of the Free Senior High School (FSHS) program to private schools.

The NDC National Chairman, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, assured Kintampoman that the NDC will address the pressing issues within the Municipality, including the construction of town roads, Suronuase-Busuama road, and Kintampo-New Longor road.
Hon. Asiedu Nketiah also took a swipe at the NPP Constituency Secretary, saying the immediate past MCE can’t be named as Oyi Akwan when most of the roads in Kintampo are in deplorable states.
The people of Kintampo are eagerly awaiting the government’s response to their plea.
