Nurse trainee found dead in Kwadaso; family questions circumstances of death  

A nurse trainee, Vincent Amo Amponsah, popularly known as “Ava Cadron,” has been found dead at his residence in Kwadaso in the Ashanti Region under circumstances that have left his family demanding answers.

According to family members and local sources, the deceased is believed to have died about three days before his body was discovered in the hall of his home.

His body was released to the family on Saturday, July 18, after preliminary police procedures. The remains have since been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) Mortuary as investigations continue.

Family Suspects Foul Play

The exact cause of death remains unknown, and police have not identified or arrested any suspect in connection with the case.

Initial accounts indicate that a sponge was found tied around the deceased’s neck, while his tongue was protruding when the body was discovered.

 

However, family members have questioned suggestions that he may have taken his own life, insisting there was no beam, hook, or any other structure in the room from which he could have hanged himself. They believe the circumstances point to possible foul play.

Relatives also claim bloodstains were found on the walls of the hall where the body was discovered, further heightening their suspicions and prompting calls for a comprehensive forensic investigation.

Police Investigation Ongoing

Authorities have not officially determined the cause of death and say investigations are ongoing. Police are expected to rely on forensic and medical examination results before issuing further details.

Two mobile phones belonging to the deceased were recovered from the scene. Both devices were reportedly switched off and have been taken into police custody for examination.

The family has also dismissed reports suggesting that Vincent was involved in selling mobile phones.

According to a relative, the phones had belonged to the deceased’s brother, who lives abroad and had previously asked Vincent to sell them.

The family says the devices had been sold long before the incident, making claims that he was a phone dealer inaccurate.

Family members and residents of the area are appealing to the police to conduct a thorough investigation to establish the true cause of Vincent Amo Amponsah’s death and ensure that anyone found responsible is brought to justice.
