The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has continued to show his respect and devotion to the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, despite the rainfall on the second day of her burial rites.
The ceremony, which started on September 15, will continue until September 18, with Otumfuo sitting in state to receive homage from sympathizers and dignitaries.
Tuesday,which is the second day of the burial rites saw the Judiciary and Ghana Bar Association, Security Agencies including Ghana Armed Forces, Ghana Police,Ghana Prisons,also Ghana Migration and Customs,SOEs and Public Officials as well as Financial Institutions and the General Public.
Otumfuo sits in state at the Manhyia Palace, receiving visitors and paying homage to his mother where chiefs and dignitaries from all walks of life attend the ceremony, wearing traditional attire and showing respect to the late Asantehemaa
