The Chief of Essienimpong in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region, Nana Kwaku Appiah Onwanwani, alias “Agya Appiah”, producer of Agya Appiah Bitters, has been making waves with his Industrious Innovations and developmental projects in the community.
This compelled the editor of Ghanawatchonline.com to travel to the community to find out the achievements of the renowned chief that have been making waves on the media space.
Upon our arrival, we discovered a lot of construction projects under the leadership of Nana Kwaku Appiah Onwanwani which includes: A modern chief’s Palace to serve as the seat of traditional authority.
An ultra-modern Community Center which will serve as a hub for community activities and social gatherings was also discovered.
Again, we discovered an ultra-modern Community Park which is a recreational space for residents and upcoming footballers in the community.
Moreover, a well mechanized boreholes which provide clean water for residents of the community was also discovered.
On arrival, some residents disclosed to us that access to clean drinking water had been a major challenge of the community, but Nana Appiah help them with their borehole even before becoming the chief of the community.
We further got to know of a 30-Seater WC toilet facility to improve sanitation in the community and also find relief to residents.
Education
In the education sector, it was discovered that Nana Kwaku Appiah Onwanwani has invested so much including: donating 100 dual desks to Essienimpong basic school, fixing school doors and windows with total contribution of GHS15,000.
He also funded the re-roofing of Essienimpong JHS which was a major challenge for teaching and learning.
Healthcare
In the area of health, it was discovered that the prominent Chief, Nana Kwaku Appiah Onwanwani has demonstrated his commitment to the healthcare of his people by paying the hospital bills of individuals.
His leadership has brought about positive change, with residents expressing gratitude for his efforts in fostering development and stability.
