
The Youth Employment Agency in the Central Gonja District has successfully passed out newly recruited Community Police Assistants (CPAs) and Fire Guards, aimed at enhancing security measures as part of the government’s 24-hour economy initiative.
The pass-out parade, held on Wednesday at Buipe, marked the culmination of six months of rigorous training for the recruits.
The (Number of CPA) new CPAs will support the Ghana Police Service in maintaining law and order, while the (Number of Fire Guards) trained Fire Guards will work under the Ghana National Fire Service to prevent and extinguish fires in the district.

Hon. Mahama Fuseini, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Central Gonja District, speaking at the ceremony, assured the recruits of government support to promote peace and development in their deployed communities.
The District Youth Employment Agency Director advised the recruits to work diligently within the dictates of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.
The District Police Commander emphasized the role of CPAs as a bridge between the police and communities, urging them to assist in combating crime.

A representative of the District Chief Fire Officer stressed the importance of discipline and proactiveness for the new Fire Guards.
With their training and support, the new recruits are expected to make a positive impact in their communities, contributing to a safer and more secure environment for all.

The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing security and promoting development in the district.
A total number of 160 personnel have been recruited into both agencies with CPA getting 105 and Fire getting 55.
Each agency has male and female recruits to ensure gender balance and improve living standards of the officers.
