Former First Deputy Speaker of Parliament and former Member of Parliament for Bekwai Constituency, Joseph Osei-Owusu, popularly known as Joe Wise, has described Boakye Kyerematen Agyarko as the only person capable of restoring calm and unity to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in times of chaos.
According to Joe Wise, who is the Senior Campaign Advisor to Boakye Agyarko’s campaign for the NPP National Chairmanship, Mr Agyarko possesses the experience, temperament and leadership qualities required to unite the party and restore stability.
He made the remarks in an interview with Kwame Tanko, popularly known as KT, on Lawson TV’s Ghana Sesen Morning Show on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
Joe Wise said the NPP requires a leader who can remain calm and provide direction during difficult periods, stressing that Boakye Agyarko has demonstrated such qualities throughout his years of service to the party and the country.
He said the former Energy Minister has the capacity to bring the various factions of the party together and help rebuild confidence among members.
Joseph Osei-Owusu was appointed Senior Campaign Advisor to Boakye Agyarko’s chairmanship campaign in April 2026, alongside former Interior Minister Henry Quartey, who serves as Campaign Manager.
Boakye Agyarko is contesting the NPP National Chairmanship position in the party’s internal elections scheduled for October 3, 2026. He is number four on the ballot paper for the chairmanship race.
