Nana Adu Gyamfi Kumanin Barima Kese I, the Nkosuohene of Nyankyerenease Traditional Council in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti Region, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shamor Herbal Center, has launched an initiative to empower 80 youth in the Afigya Kwabre South District of the Ashanti Region.
The initiative involves providing the youth with tricycles (Pragia) to engage in commercial riding, aiming to create job opportunities and stimulate economic growth in the area.
The Nkosuohene presented 80 tricycles (Pragia) to 80 youth, enabling them to start their own commercial riding businesses. This move is expected to reduce unemployment and poverty in the area by providing the youth with a means of livelihood.
By empowering them economically, Nana Adu Gyamfi’s initiative aims to improve their living standards and financial stability.

Speaking to the media during the presentation of the tricycles, Nana Adu Gyamfi Kumanin emphasized that the initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the livelihoods of the beneficiaries and their families.
He noted that the development of the country cannot solely be done by the government, calling on other stakeholders to contribute to this effort. “The provision of these tricycles will go a long way to empower the youth and improve their economic well-being,” the Nkosuohene added.

The initiative was introduced after Hajia Salima appealed to the Nkosuohene on behalf of the youth, highlighting the high unemployment rate in the area.
Nana Adu Gyamfi Kumanin Barima Kese I advised the beneficiaries to adhere to road safety regulations to ensure their safety and that of their passengers, as well as to avoid police arrests.

During the occasion, MTTD commanders from Mampongteng, Manhyia, and Old Tafo divisions educated the beneficiaries on road safety regulations. Supt. Mary Affanyi, Manhyia Divisional MTTD Commander, cautioned the riders to adhere to road safety regulations to avoid accidents and police arrest, enabling them to achieve their dreams.
In a heartfelt appreciation, a beneficiary who spoke on behalf of his peers thanked Nana Adu Gyamfi Kumanin Barima Kese I for creating such opportunities for them.
He revealed that the initiative will help alleviate their financial challenges and enable them to contribute to the economic development of the country.

He also pleaded with all beneficiaries to adhere to road safety measures and driving regulations as an association to distinguish them from other riders on the road.
This initiative demonstrates the Nkosuohene’s commitment to youth empowerment and economic development in the community, and it is expected to have a lasting impact on the lives of the beneficiaries.
