
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kwadaso, Hon. Eric Asibey, has called on Ghanaians to prioritize cleanliness in their communities.
Speaking to the media on September 6,2025, during a clean-up exercise, Hon. Asibey emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean environment for public health and well-being.

The clean-up exercise was conducted in three electoral areas in the municipality for its maiden edition including Apatrapa electoral area, Apatrapa New Site electoral area, and Nyankyerenease electoral area as well as Sofoline through Hon. Asibey’s monthly clean-up exercise initiative.

The exercise brought together fun clubs and residents from all electoral areas who came out in their numbers to help in the cleaning.
Hon. Asibey highlighted the link between cleanliness and health, noting that a clean environment can help prevent the spread of diseases.

He urged residents to take ownership of their surroundings and work together to maintain cleanliness in their communities.
The MCE indicated that cleanliness is a shared responsibility that requires the active participation of all residents, calling on residents to work together to keep the environment clean and healthy.

He revealed that the exercise will be a recurring event that will be observed every month, stating that regular clean-up exercise can help improve sanitation and reduce the risk of disease outbreaks.

Hon. Eric Asibey further entreated residents to ensure that the environment is maintained clean after every exercise to enhance the quality of their lives.
